The NP231 and NP241 are part-time transfer cases with a built-in low range reduction gear system. They have three operating ranges plus a Neutral position. The low range system provides a low range reduction ratio for increased low speed torque capacity. This ATSG overhaul manual provides all information necessary for transmission disassembly, assembly, diagnosis & testing. Typically, these manuals are approximately 100 pages and contains ample pictures and exploded view parts diagrams with part names.
